Gigi Romero
Born in Venezuela, Gigi Romero arrives in Spain in 2000 where she obtains a degree in Media Communication at the Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM). She completes her education in Séptima Ars School where she specializes in Film Direction. Short film director and writer, she directs her first work, "Smile" in 2006 and "Together" in 2009, winning at the 10th Edition of the Fantastic Costa del Sol International Film Festival. It has also been selected in more than twenty international festivals, including the first Gothic Week of Madrid. She has also written and directed three other shorts: "Lógico" (Logical), "Cosas que Pasan" (Things That Happen) and "Se Acabó la Fiesta" (The Party is Over).
In 2010, she is granted a subsidy by the CNAC (Centro Autónomo de Cinematografía de Venezuela) to produce her first venezuelan short film: "Nada" (Nothing) now in postproduction. She is currently studying a master degree on Film Industry Management at the Carlos III University while coordinating "La Ventana Oscura" (The Dark Window), the audiovisual screenings at the SGM, as she did in the last edition.
